What a fantastic day I had filming at Country Mice Montessori school last Sunday in Rosegreen village, just outside Cashel. This fantastic Montessori school is run by Marian and her staff. With a start time of 10 am, after 3 wedding videos that week and another wedding video in Kilkenny on the Bank Holiday Monday, I was on camera for 5 days straight! Well, I’m not complaining! With speeches starting off the morning to welcome the children and their parents, we moved to the green area that was specially set up as an obstacle course for the kids. They went over this course a number of times to allow their proud parents, grannies and friends a chance to cheer them on. They went over all sorts of obstacles along the way. Then it was time for the food and, wow, there was a lot of it! Marian doesn’t do things by half! After everyone was well fed, it was time for the graduation of the little boys and girls who are ready for ‘big school’ in September. This is a lovely way to end their time with Country Mice Montessori .

The cameras, iPods and iPhones were out in force to capture the children all dressed up for the day in their graduation caps and gowns. Bernard O’ Brien of New Age Photography in Tipperary, Cahir was on hand to do the professional photography and to make sure there were smiles all the way from the children. I called one morning last week to film the children in their school environment. It’s called ” A Peek into Our World” and it was fantastic to see the way Marian and her staff work with the children. They were singing, doing basic geography, drawing, maths, painting, doing puzzles and of course playing in the huge outdoor area on the range of equipment. It was all highly supervised by staff.

Marian contacted me to film this event last year. I was delighted to cover her sports day as well last year. She also called me to record her Christmas time activities with a lovely Christmas play for the parents, along with the man himself Santa. With this, Marian treated the parents to a lovely Christmas buffet in her home. This year’s production of Country Mice is nearly ready to be delivered and I hear the parents and children are so looking forward to it. I look forward to working with all from Country Mice in Rosegreen at Christmas time again. As always, it’s great to get local work as it really works for business. One of the girls are getting married next year and has booked both myself and Bernard O’Brien to for her wedding, so happy days all around.
